Gratitude at the End of 2006
I am grateful for the knowledge I have gained in the last quarter of 2006. I have learned from several people who coach therapists, including Casey Truffo, Lyn Kelley, David Steele, and Jeff Herring. They have provided me with new information that will help me to reach out to new people in my community. I am grateful to be able to offer my services to help people get closer to the people they care about. I am grateful for my ability and desire to continue to learn and grow. I look forward to 2007.
Holiday Gratitude
I am grateful for the holidays as a time for reflection, a bit of rest, and time to spend with family. My family of origin is all over the globe: my parents are in Uganda, my sister in Georgia, and my brother in New York. I miss them, yet I have spent time with my husband's family and I've enjoyed our holiday traditions. I am always excited to spend time with the grandchildren and decorate holiday cookies. I look forward to this and other traditions each Christmas.I watched "It's a Wonderful LIfe" with my husband on Christmas Eve. It's a tear-jerker and an all around feel good movie. I was grateful my husband wanted to watch it with me.
We had salmon for Christmas dinner. My family has flouted tradition for many years, tiring of turkey and eager for the Alaskan salmon my father brought back from his yearly fishing trips. I decided to bring this tradition into my life with my husband, with good results.
I'm grateful today. What are you grateful for?
Today I am Grateful
I am grateful for the ability to continue to learn new things and to apply them in my life. I am grateful for the ability to see things from other people's point of view instead of sticking to my ego-centric viewpoint. When I consider what it must be like from someone else's perspective, I am able to appreciate that it's not always about me, and for that I am grateful.
So Much Gratitude
I hadn't realized that it had been two weeks since I last posted an entry on gratitude. I have been engaged in learning about marketing and I've let other things fall by the wayside. I am grateful today that I have met some new clients who are interested in self-improvement. That's one of my favorite topics. I believe we can all learn new ways to interact with the people we love that will improve our relationships. In the new year I hope to have some relationship workshops for these clients and for new people who want to learn more about improving their relationships.
I am grateful for my ability to travel freely in this country. I recently returned from a trip to visit my aunt and grandmother who live in Louisiana.
I am grateful for my limited, but ever increasing understanding of the use of the Internet as a tool for business. I have learned so much. I'm amazed at how technology continues to grow so fast. My head spins when I realize how much I still don't know. That's all right. I am a perpetual student.
